I must sleep early.

Today was the fiiiiiiirst day of school. The hardest part was waking up, I had to hit the snooze button 3 times. Got on the bus, first thing everyone said was :OOOOO WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR YOU CUT IT SHORT!!! Niiice greeting!!

Slept through the entire journey, or at least tried to. I was feeling too depressed cuz i was in a bus on the way to school instead of staying at home cuddling in my warm warm soft soft bed with the computer less than 5 metres away from me.. sigh.

Arrived at school.. WOW WE GOT A NEW CANTEEN THINGY!!! Said hey hey hi hi to everyone, nothing too exciting. First period was PE, just great. Second was assembly. Met the new girl, Carmen who seemed really nice. :) Recess, BM, Lunch, math, science and school was overr.

Yea.. first day was okay. Feels good to be back in school, feels good to have my life back on track. :)

OH I CAME UP WITH A THEORY ABOUT HOW WE CAN WAKE UP LATE EVEN ON SCHOOL DAYS.
You see, every single day of our lives, we complain about how we have to wake up so early every weekday. We love weekends cause we can waste the entire morning away just sleeping. SO, our idea of waking up late/ sleeping in is sleeping through the entire morning and only waking up at about 10/11am. So if we can shift our weekend waking-up time to 5am (which means we would naturally wake up at 5am), then we will have like.. an hour and a half of extra sleep on weekdays!!! Don't get it??? its like shifting our sleeping hours earlier, so we don't complain about having to wake up early, cause we're not waking up early, cause 6.30 am is not early, cause we usually wake up at 5.
You get???

I'm guessing you don't. :(

Random Scribblings

Why why why habbo? its a hopelessly addictive game that ppl lose interest in after a month or so. so to my random scribblings-aerobicthon in school yesterday. Held to raise money for the new Art Block. My class made RM1300++. We had a haunted house, people came out CRYING. Yes, we were THAT scary. I have an awesome picture of myself somewhere but I can't upload it because I've gone and spoilt my memory card reader. *Shock, horror* Been campaigning all of last week. Hasn't totally sunk in yet, but you are staring at the scribblings of Assistant Head Girl 07/08. And please change the background, black is just MORBID. Tests next week, my Sejarah last week was just hopeless, its a lost cause as I hadn't read a SINGLE THING before sitting for the test. So yeah. 07/07/07 was Interact Club of Assunta's installation. Not bad, for an installation. The next day was the Chicken Run. Ran around with an egg in an ice cream cone, then enjoyed myself at the theme park (the event was held at Desa Water Theme Park)

Warning-LOOONG post ahead!

Another "make you happy" post

Okay, I'll start off with Lit Night. The English Literary and Debating Society of SMK Assunta held its Annual Literary Night concert on 22nd June 2007. This year, it was themed "MIRRORS". After a month of intensive practices and dragging ourselves out of bed every morning during the school mid year break, it was a great success!! We were so worried, I tell you. NOBODY was buying tickets. Then suddenly, on Thursday, the day before the concert, EVERYBODY wants tickets and are trying all sorts of dirty tricks to coax people into selling them tickets as the tickets were sold out by 8 am on Thursday morning. Anyway, the night kicked off a little off schedule (about 15 mins off) as the spot light had "attitude problems" and wouldn't work. Somehow, the AV team worked some magic and brought it out of its sulking :D The night started with the opening act, Carnivale, an explosion of colours and splendour. Loosely based on a circus, it represented all of us, Lit Night cast and crew, working together in tandem to achieve this night. In this production, I was a bumbling magician. Tried to pull rabbits out of my hat, but only after multiple tries did the rabbit appear. Then, I attempted to make my assistant disappear. I pulled the magic covers over her, counted to three and voila!! Then I looked at her properly and realised she was still there. Ran off the stage in shame.

This was followed by Poetic Mirrors. It was a collection of poetry recitals by people mirroring each other. Then, it was Mirror, Mirror, a play by Singaporean playwright Verena Tay, co-directed by JY and I. It's basically a story about an anorexic/bulimic girl, whose mirror image is constantly pressuring her to lose weight. (I think you guys were awesome, all 6 of you!). Instrumental Fusion wowed the crowd off its feet. Featuring six violinists and two singers, they performed "Reflection" (The song from Mulan) and Can Can. The fifth performance of the night was a solo act by MJ, "French Toast", written by Brian Heath. This was an act that made it to the finals of the ISKL South East Asian Forensics solo acting finals. "The Birthday of the Infanta", the classic story of a Spanish princess (A real spoilt brat) and an ugly hunchback, the Fantastic, made everyone sit up with its elaborate costumes, acting and music. (Btw, Infanta, remember this? I am a real Princess and the daughter of the king of SPIN! Whoever dares disobey me will be BEHIT!! Lol. For the uninitiated, it's Spain and beheaded, not Spin and behit). Our own comic rendition of Medusa had the crowd in stitches (A great script, S :D). Medusa was planning her own stylish death and Perseus, a fool really, helps her do it. A dance number by three very talented dancers to Gloria Estefan's "Rhythm's Gonna Get You" was deeply appreciated by the audience. Then, it was the Disney edition of Snow White, albeit in musical form. As the storyteller of this musical, I was dressed from head to toe in PINK by my teachers (I know, I know, I can already see you saying, PINK?! PINK?!?!). Awesome costumes and acting-great job RYPY! The last performance of the night was the Finale - the singing of LOVE by all the cast and crew. This was followed by the president's speech, thank you presents to our wonderful teacher advisors, and the singing of the school song.

After locking up, it was time for the traditional visit to A&Ws. This is a part of Lit Night that has been around for as long as I can remember. We stuffed ourselves with rootbeer and onion rings and met up with friends, both old and new who came to support our concert.

That night, I only fell asleep at 2 something. JY stayed over as her mum didn't want to pick her up so late. The next morning, a SATURDAY morning, was a school day. Thank goodness I didn't have to go. (I missed the clean up. Sorry, guys!) AN, TW and I went all the way to NILAI for the INTI I-Challenge competition, a series of challenging games. Won't elaborate too much on them, but one of the games was plunging your head into icy cold water and fishing out an apple, an egg and a balloon. My nose froze. Brrrrr. The balloon refused to be caught, you sorta had to chase it round and round the basin, while the egg was at the bottom of the basin, right next to the side, so I gnawed off some of the edges of the basin, XD There was a game involving frogs (they were tiny. Like, one inch long), one involving swimming and one involving balancing trays of water in your left hand over an obstacle course. We did sorta okay for this, we enjoyed ourselves anyway, but didn't advance to the finals which is a singing, acting, dancing competition in August in Subang Parade. Met up with a friend from USJ 12 there, his team made it through to the finals.

So that's June. Now for July's update:

Library Week two weeks ago. Academic Week last week. My Editor-In-Chief has been bugging me about class photos, class photo divider and FoA, and I in turn have been bugging the Arts and Graphics girl about them. They're STILL not done. The first one or two attempts have been rejected, so now someone else is doing the layout. I was in interclass debate last week. The motion was "Handphones should be allowed in school". Even with our weak points, we sounded so convincing we made it through to Finals :D The second motion was "Advertisements have negative influence on the society". We honestly thought we'd lost this round, the Opposition was so GOOD. Yet we somehow managed to beat them, emerging as champions of the Form Four debate :D There were lots of competitions last week besides debate, like drama, oral interpretation, forum, public speaking, science corner, etc. This week is Sports Week. Netball, chess, ping pong, badminton and handball are just some of the activities lined up for the week. Played netball yesterday and had a lot of fun, couldn't even catch the ball properly. I haven't played properly since Form One! We're through to finals. Aerobicthon next week. School's annual "Try to raise money for a new block" project. Then, exams.

I'm going to be so busy next year. ELDS. Prefect. Interact. Rangers. Assunta. Olahraga. Editorial. Posts in at least three of these things. And then there's SPM to think about as well. Need. To. Learn. To. Say. No. NO!

Dinner, have to stop here.
